Our Active-Rate sway bar is a softer spring rate compared to the stock OEM unit, allowing the axle to move and articulate more independently, side to side.

This softer rate smooths out off-camber bumps, pot holes, curbs, etc.

Fitment:

  • Fits 2013-2024 Ram 3500 SRW and DRW

  • Fits stock height unmodified trucks through lifts up to 3" height

  • Not recommended if you have a much higher center of gravity, for example, a slide in camper.

  • NOTE: Some add-on steering braces may interfere with our Sway Bar. If you have one, email us a picture of your brace to verify compatibility.

Details:

  • Clears 37x12.5 tires on stock wheels, with no rub on the sway bar

  • Compliment with Thuren Alien Arms, to get full zero-rub turning radius with 37x12.5's and high positive-offset, tucked in wheels

  • Stainless steel frame bushing clamps and joint sleeves

  • 6061 Aluminum machined Sway Bar Links.

  • Uses no solid joints like Heim joints or solid bushings

  • 6 grease zerk fittings used throughout the assembly. In this application, non -greasable joints can become noisy early in the life-cycle

  • Same proven JKS Poly orbital joints as used on all Thuren Sway Bar Links

  • Not recommended if you have a much higher center of gravity. For example, a slide in camper, or a heavy Roof Top Tent(RTT) equipped Overlanding build.

  • Our Active Rate Sway Bar functions great with heavy Gooseneck and 5th wheel towing, heavy weight in the bed below the top rail, or heavy weight on the bumper receiver hitch.

    This truck has been my daily driver for the last four years and completely stock. The stock ride left much to be desired as far as comfort. After alot of research and advice I decided on Thuren. I wanted to upgrade one part at a time so I could evaluate the difference in ride quality for each part. The first addition was the Thuren sway bar. The product showed up quickly and packaged well. The quality of the part is exceptional. Installation was quick and easy. The difference in ride quality is substantial for this being the only part changed. I would say it took half of the harshness out of the front end suspension. If you're wondering if this part alone makes a difference.....it does. Big thanks to Thuren for great advice and a superior part.

    Nice! What a difference handling uneven surfaces.

    Wanted to get some miles on the kit before making a review. This went on my 2017 3500. I initially purchased this sway bar to gain tire clearance with the addition of bigger tires after the thuren lift kit. What I did not account for is how much smoother transitions from curbs, driveways and uneven ground would be improved. Really impressed, glad I went for this upgrade at the same time the suspension was addressed.

    The sway bar was a great addition to my ram dually. The front end is 100 times smoother over bumps than it was before. I should have purchased this a long time ago. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a smoother ride on the choppy roads you may be driving. The sway bar paired with new Thuren coils and a set of Fox 2.0 shocks was a great combo.

    WOW! Just WOW!

    I have purchased active rate sway bars in the past from what I considered to be one of the best (Carlie) and was not impressed at all. (Now this was installed on an 08 Ram 2500 so I know it’s a completely different Front end, but I had a complete Carli setup on that truck. Over 6 grand invested to try to improve the ride. I ended up swapping to Thuren on that truck also.)
    So I was skeptical on how well this would perform. All I can say is, WOW! I live on a quite bumpy gravel road with some unforgiving potholes. After I installed the Thuren sway bar I took my wife out and didn’t tell her I had changed anything. She immediately noticed a difference and started asking questions!! You still feel the harsh bumps, but it’s more of a gentle “rock” than a harsh bump. If you have it in the cart, go ahead and pull the trigger. You will not regret it!
