These coils provide about 20% more down travel than stock, which mandates longer sway bar end links. If the stock end links were used the sway bar would invert as the suspension droops.

If you're not purchasing our shocks with these coils, please verify below specs to make sure your shocks will work. Even aftermarket shocks by application to fit the OEM suspension, or even a mild lift, will usually not work as they are much too short.

Shocks for these rear coils must be 17.5" or less compressed, and 26.5"-28.5" length extended, mandatory. Reason being, even our 1" lowering Power Wagon rear coils are a full 2" longer than the OEM rear coils fully extended with no weight on them.

Thuren Stock Height PW coils are 3.25" longer than the stock coils with no weight.
If you tow over 8,000lbs or load heavy traveling long distance often, have a slide in camper or the like, supplemental weight handling setup like airbags and Daystar cradles are suggested.

If you're rarely loading or towing moderate weight, for short distances, the rear end will sag a few inches but bags are not really needed.

These Swaybar links use the same high-end JKS link pivots as used in our other swaybar links/systems, 17-4 STAINLESS steel link bushing sleeves, and Grade 8 Black Phosphate hardware.

These coils are much softer than the OEM stiff coils, giving a feel more like a 1/2 ton truck, ride quality wise. They can also provide up to 13 inches of suspension travel.

Each 5160 alloy spring is fully CNC computer formed and tested, using the most high-tech manufacturing processes available in the country. 

Weight and height notes:  Our coils being softer than OEM coils, weight added to the rear of the truck will exaggerate the lowering effect. So, if you have 500lbs added to the bed with your stock coils, that 1/2" of sag will be about 1" of sag with our coils. Mega Cab and Single Cab trucks are not as common as the Quad Cab we designed these coils around, so keep in mid the Mega Cab is about 700lbs heavier than the Quad Cab, and the Single Cab is about 700lbs lighter, so subtract/add about 1/2" to 1" of height if you have one of those trucks. Final lift heights are not guaranteed.

    2017 ram 2500 rear coil kit

    Easy to install

    Excellent ride!

    As a Guinea pig for our fleet department, I Installed the 3” coils up front, 1” coils in the rear, and King 2.0’s on all four corners of my work truck. The ride quality is excellent, especially for my 200 mile round-trip commute. Plus, it’s beaten up and down matted roads all day long at work, and has substantially softened those blows. However, on a long wheelbase with a slip tank, toolbox, and 55Qt Yeti, the rear squats about 1.75” lower than the front. In hindsight, I should have done 2” coils up front, but frankly, it still rubs at full lock on 305/70-R18 Mickey Thompson M/T’s on the factory steel wheels, and the overall appearance of the truck is still far better than factory. I’ll be adding bump stops and track bars to this truck soon enough and look forward to reviewing how much softer it is upon bottoming out.

    I’ll be adding these same components to my personal SWB Ram 2500, and the company I work for is considering buying this same setup in bulk to equip all of their new model pickups to prevent premature wear and failure.

    REAR COIL KIT RAM 2500 (2014-2022)

    Install was easy, ride is amazing. New sway bar links are beefy and greaseable. Paired the 1/2 " lowering rears with 1" fronts and fox 2.0s all around, am left with 1/2" rake on my 18' mega cab.

    Rear soft coils and shock

    Got the one inch lift and it raised the back about 7/8ths which made the stance of the truck perfect. I thought I wanted a leveled truck but that looks kinda dumb. This makes it not look dumb. Yes the ride is better and all that but the reality is it looks the way I want it to look now.
