The ATS Steering Damper damping force with the valve wide-open feels similar to the TS version. You can easily turn the flathead screw click adjuster to stiffen it up if you like. This version is great for larger tires that tend to have a little more wobble, the firmer settings is much more effective than the TS version
Well with the extra money to get the adjustable ATS unit.

This is my 5th damper in 200,000 miles. Oem-rancho-oem back to rancho. I would say it's is a definite improvement. The low speed daily driving extremely smooth and the high speed stuff is bump steer proof if you want it or you can soften it up to have positive feedback. I started at 7 click, went to 12 clicks then settled at 9 clicks for my sweet spot. Full thuren set up minus bumps on 305/70r18 with -12 offset. I would recommend
